AZURE ON WHITE PRESENTS SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT

Solo Roguelike
RPG Books

The book is the adventure.
Your choices are the game.

Step into the lead role. Follow the numbered pages. Fail, return to an unlocked Respawn Node, and try a different path. Reach an ending. Then discover what you missed.

One player. One standalone adventure per book. More than one ending.

THE CONCEPT

A solo RPG.
A roguelike twist.

Solo Roguelike RPG Books are self-contained adventures in which you play the main character. You read, make a choice, and turn to the corresponding numbered page to continue the story.

The twist is the return journey. You will fail often. But once you reach a Respawn Node, you can restart from that unlocked point as you work toward completing the adventure, rather than always returning to the beginning.

Every book has multiple endings. Each ending unlocks a different Award. Reach them all in that book to earn its Platinum Award. It is a roguelike video-game rhythm, built into a book.

A SMALL TASTE OF THE MECHANIC

One setback.
Another way forward.

Explore a tiny, illustrative branching example. Reach a Respawn Node, take a wrong turn, and return without starting the whole story again.

This is a mechanics demonstration, not an excerpt from a book. Its two sample endings and example Awards are illustrative only. Nothing here counts toward the planned community rankings.

A return point, not a complete reset.

Choose a route. Reach a Respawn Node. A later decision ends the attempt. Return to the unlocked node and try another route to discover an ending and its Award.

FOR READERS

Finish the adventure.
Keep discovering the story.

The first ending is a finish.
It does not have to be your last.

01

Your decisions matter.

You take the lead role. Each choice sends you to a new page and shapes the path your adventure takes.

02

Failure invites a return.

A failed attempt does not erase what you have learned. Unlocked Respawn Nodes give you a place to pick up the adventure again.

03

Every ending counts.

Different endings earn different Awards. Check the list at the front of the book to see which ones you have found and which remain.

All you need is the book.

No dice, character sheet, or app required. A pen is optional for checking off Awards or noting Respawn Node numbers.

THE COMPLETION CHALLENGE

Every ending.
One Platinum Award.

At the front of each book, an Award list makes your progress visible. An ending you have not reached is another reason to return.

Find an ending
Unlock that ending's distinct Award.
Track your discoveries
Use the Award list at the front of the book. Marking it with a pen is optional.
Find every ending in the book
Earn its Platinum Award.

MANY WORLDS. ONE SERIES.

Choose the world
you want to step into.

Fantasy, sci-fi, historical settings, and horror form the planned range of Solo Roguelike RPG Books. Each book tells its own complete adventure.

01

Fantasy

Impossible worlds. Decisions with consequences.

02

Sci-Fi

Unfamiliar frontiers. Another future to discover.

03

Historical

A different time. A story shaped by your choices.

04

Horror

Uncertainty ahead. The courage to try again.

Beyond original worlds: licensed IPs are a possible later expansion, subject to agreements with rights holders. No licensed titles or partnerships are being announced here.

FOR AUTHORS

Write a world
worth returning to.

Not just one path to a final page. An adventure readers can explore through choices, setbacks, and different endings.

We want to talk with authors who see the storytelling potential of Solo Roguelike RPG Books. Bring an original premise, a compelling lead character, and an idea for how returning to a pivotal moment could change the experience.

Discuss an author project

A GOOD FIRST CONVERSATION STARTS WITH

  1. Your world and premiseWhere does the adventure take place, and who are we playing?
  2. The choices that matterWhat makes a different route worth exploring?
  3. Failure and returnHow could setbacks and Respawn Nodes serve the story?
  4. The endingsHow might the outcomes differ, and what would readers discover in each?

Start with a short introduction. Scope, rights, compensation, and the development process would be discussed individually.

FOR PUBLISHERS & B2B PARTNERS

A consistent concept.
Room for distinct worlds.

Each book stands on its own. The shared system gives the series a recognizable identity.

A book with a replay loop

Branching narrative, Respawn Nodes, and ending-specific Awards give readers a reason to revisit the same adventure.

A series built around variety

Different genres and self-contained stories share the same Solo Roguelike RPG Books concept, with a Platinum Award for completing every ending in each book.

Physical play. Optional digital progress.

The book works without extra play materials. A planned community layer adds Award tracking and rankings across the series.

A conversation about collaboration

We welcome discussions about publishing, distribution, localization, and potential future licensed worlds. Roles and commercial terms would be defined for each project.

Talk about a publishing or business partnership

PLANNED COMMUNITY

Play offline.
Share your progress online.

The planned community page will let readers create an account, unlock and track their Awards, and see how their collection ranks across the series. Playing the books will not require an account.

Community accounts, online Award tracking, and rankings are planned features. They are not available on this page.

HOW THE RANKINGS WILL WORK

FIRST

Most Platinum Awards

Readers are ranked by the number of Platinum Awards they have collected.

TIEBREAKER

Most Awards in total

When Platinum Award counts are equal, the total number of Awards decides the ranking.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before your
first run.

Is each book a complete adventure?

Yes. Each Solo Roguelike RPG Books title is designed as a self-contained adventure with multiple endings. You do not need another book to complete its story.

Do I always restart from the beginning?

No. Once you have reached a Respawn Node, it becomes a return point as you work toward completing the adventure. Failure is frequent, but it does not always send you back to the first page.

What do I need to play?

Just the book. A pen is optional for marking Awards or noting Respawn Node numbers. There is no required dice set, character sheet, app, or community account.

How do I earn a Platinum Award?

Each ending unlocks a different Award. Find all of a book's endings to earn that book's Platinum Award. The Award list at the front of the book shows what you have completed.

Can I buy a book or join the community now?

This page introduces the series concept. Individual titles, pricing, and release dates will be announced when confirmed. Community accounts and online rankings are also planned, not currently offered here.

Can authors and business partners get involved?

Yes. We welcome conversations with authors, publishers, and other business partners about the series. Send a short introduction and tell us what kind of collaboration you have in mind.
